Ingredients
Apples

Apples
peeled and chopped

lemon juice

light brown sugar

organic wheat flour

Crumb Topping

Organic quick oats
1/2
cup
organic whole wheat flour
1/2
cup
light brown sugar
1/4

melted butter
1/2

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease or spray a 8 x 8 baking or casserole dish.
Apple Mixture:
Peel, core and chop apples.
Place chopped apples in a large bowl.
In a small bowl, mix water, lemon juice, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon and mix to combine.
Pour mixture over apples and toss.
Pour apples into the baking dish.
Crumb Topping:
In the same empty bowl that you had the apples in, add the oats, flour, brown sugar and cinnamon. Mix to combine.
Heat 1/4 cup of butter in microwave. Add the melted butter to the bowl and mix until moistened. Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the apples.
Bake and Serve
Place the baking dish in the oven and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 40 – 45 minutes.
Carefully remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes.
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
