  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Grease or spray a loaf pan (I use a 9.25 x 5.25 x 2.75 in.)
  3. Add the following ingredients to a large mixing bowl (flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg). Mix until combined.
  4. Cut in the butter until mixture is crumbly.
  5. In a separate bowl add the following (eggs, milk, yogurt and vanilla extract). Mix well then add to large mixing bowl and mix until moistened.
  6. Fold in pears to the mixture.
  7. Spoon mixture into greased loaf pan.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 55 minutes. Oven times may vary. It is best to do a toothpick test. Just insert a toothpick into the bread and if it comes out clean it is done.
  9. Remove and let cool for 10 – 15 minutes.
