Cheddar Cheese Bread

Cheddar Cheese Bread made in a bread machine comes out so soft, moist and delicious. It is a cheesy, buttery bakery-quality loaf of bread.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk room temperature
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened or melted
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/4 oz. Active Dry Yeast

Instructions

  • Add the room temperature milk and softened or melted butter to the bread pan. I microwaved the butter in a small microwave-safe bowl for 30 seconds.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients, except for the yeast, to the bread pan.
  • Make a small depression into the flour with your finger and add the dry yeast to the depression. Make sure you do not allow the yeast to come in contact with any liquids.
  • Select the basic setting on the bread machine and the light crust option, then press start. My bread machine took 3 hours and 45 minutes.
  • Once the bread is finished, allow it to cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!

Notes

This recipe is for a 2 lb. bread machine.
