Ingredients

  • 3 cups almonds whole raw almonds *see notes*

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or you can leave it unlined as long as it is clean.
  • Pour the raw almonds onto the baking sheet and spread them into an even layer. Place onto the center rack of your preheated oven and roast for 12 - 16 minutes, or until the almonds are roasted to your liking.
  • Carefully remove them from the oven and allow them to cool completely on the baking sheet for about 10 - 15 minutes.
  • Serve fresh, use them in a recipe, or store them in an airtight container until ready to use.

Notes

  • I buy whole raw organic almonds.
  • You can roast as many almonds as you would like. However, I recommend making a small batch for the first time. Ovens can vary as well as the size of almonds and personal preferences. Making a small batch first will allow you to adjust the roasting time. I usually roast mine for 14-16 minutes but check on them at the 12-minute mark. Burnt nuts are bad!
  • I like to store my roasted almonds in a sealed mason jar in the refrigerator to keep them fresh.
