- 10 oz lettuce or chopped salad greens.
- 6 oz. tuna can or pouch drained.
- 5 oz. cherry tomatoes halved
- 3 oz. gorgonzola cheese or blue cheese crumbles.
- 3 large eggs hard-boiled, sliced or diced.
- 1 medium-large avocado sliced or diced.
Dressing
- 3 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil.
- 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar or red-wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic 2 cloves minced
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper or to taste
To make the cobb dressing, add the oil, vinegar, mustard, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper to a mason jar. Screw on the lid and shake well to combine the ingredients. You can also whisk the ingredients in a small bowl.
Add the lettuce to a large salad bowl or serving dish, then add rows of drained and flaked tuna, sliced hard-boiled eggs, sliced avocado, crumbled gorgonzola cheese, and halved cherry tomatoes.
Give the dressing a good shake or stir, then drizzle the dressing over the salad. Season with salt and freshly ground pepper to taste. Serve immediately and enjoy!
- You can make the dressing and hard-boiled eggs in advance, then refrigerate them until ready to use.
- To make the hard-boiled eggs, you can use an egg cooker or boil the eggs. (Instructions on how to boil eggs are in the post.)
