Ingredients

  • ¼ cup Sunflower Tahini or sunflower butter as a substitute.
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar (optional - See Notes)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • ½ teaspoon salt and pepper (add more to taste)
  • 1 pinch crushed red pepper optional

Instructions

  • Add the sunflower tahini or sunflower butter, garlic powder, coriander, sugar, toasted sesame oil, vinegar, and lemon juice to a bowl and whisk well to combine until the sugar dissolves and the dressing is creamy and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and a pinch of crushed red pepper if desired.
You can also add all the ingredients to a small food processor and pulse until smooth and creamy.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to use, then shake or stir well just before using.

Notes

  • I used stevia brown sugar to make it a low-carb, sugar-free salad dressing. You can also use regular sugar or honey as a substitute, or omit the sweetener completely for a more savory salad dressing.
  • This creamy sunflower seed dressing complements many types of salads, and it is also great as a dip for bread or poured over veggies, pasta, tofu, chicken, or seafood
