Chicken Teriyaki and Broccoli Bowl

Easy Chicken Teriyaki

Chicken Teriyaki is so quick and easy to make from the comfort of home. So, if you are craving some yummy Chinese takeout, you can have this easy teriyaki chicken ready faster than ordering it and going to get it from your local Chinese restaurant. It is healthier and tastes better than takeout and it’s better for your wallet as well!

Teriyaki Chicken has always been one of my favorite meals, even as a child. Now it has become one of my daughter’s favorites as well. I’m super happy about that, but I also care even more about what goes into it, which is why I make my own sauce. Store-bought sauce never tastes right to me and I also always worry about what is actually going into our bodies. My homemade honey garlic teriyaki sauce is super yummy and I also know how to pronounce every ingredient that goes into it.

I like to serve my teriyaki chicken with steamed fresh broccoli and cauliflower rice to keep it healthy and low-carb. You could also serve it with regular rice. However, if you would like to keep this recipe healthy and lower in carbs, try serving it with Low Carb Lo Mein Noodles or Cilantro Lime Cauliflower Rice. Other options include my easy Sheet Pan-Roasted Cauliflower “Rice” or Cauliflower Fried Rice. They are all much better than plain old white rice and they are great options for a healthy, low-carb meal that is super satisfying. You can easily make the sheet pan cauliflower rice while you are making the chicken and broccoli, so no added time and you will be all good on your cruciferous vegetable intake.

This quick and easy chicken teriyaki makes a great weeknight dinner that everyone loves. I hope that you all enjoy it as much as we do!

Heat the oil in a pan or wok over medium heat. Add the chicken to the wok and stir fry for about 10 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked, stirring or tossing occasionally so that the chicken cooks evenly.

Once the chicken is cooked, add the sauce to the pan. Stir and toss to coat for 1 – 2 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.
