Add the drained and rinsed chickpeas, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, tahini, olive oil, and lemon juice to a food processor and blend in 15-second intervals, scraping the sides if needed in between intervals for 1 to 2 minutes, or until the ingredients are fully combined and the hummus is smooth and creamy.
To create a smoother hummus, add 2 tablespoons of cold water to the hummus and blend for 1 more minute or until you reach your desired consistency. You can add a little more water if necessary. Do a taste test and add additional salt if needed. Serve and enjoy!
