Baked Apple Cinnamon French Toast

Baked apple cinnamon French toast tastes amazing and smells delightful while it is baking in the oven. I wish I had a candle that made the house smell so good! This baked apple French toast is so comforting and it makes a fantastic family breakfast or weekend brunch during the fall and winter months. It is also wonderful to serve for the holidays.

Having brunch is one of my favorite things to do on the weekend and this French toast bake is so easy to make and can even be made ahead of time. You can also easily customize this baked french toast recipe to suit your personal preferences.

For example, I used oatmeal bread to make my baked French toast but you could also use French bread, Italian bread, or challah. Just make sure that you use thick-cut bread. I also chose to use Honeycrisp apples, because of their sweetness, but you can use any type of apple that is good for baking such as Golden Delicious or Braeburn apples. I personally do not use syrup. The sweet apples cooked in cinnamon, brown sugar, and butter provide plenty of flavor and sweetness for my taste. However, you can serve your French toast with syrup or a dusting of powdered sugar if you would like.

I hope that you enjoy the Baked Apple Cinnamon French Toast!
