These Roasted Green Beans are honestly the best! I do not like labeling recipes as “the best”, because I think that is an arrogant statement no matter how much I love it. However, these green beans truly are the best! The flavor and texture is just so right. They are also so simple and easy to make.
Roasted green beans make an amazing healthy side dish for almost any meal. The method that I use to make these green beans delivers in both flavor and texture. Cooking the green beans in a foil pack ensures that they come out flavorful and tender, there is also no messy clean up! The foil pack prevents the minced garlic from burning and also prevents the green beans from drying out but they are still caramelized. I have made green beans many ways and this really is the best. I’m not the only one who thinks so. Everyone who has tried them agrees, including my very picky daughter. I hope you all enjoy!

Ingredients needed to make Roasted Green Beans:
- fresh green beans – washed and trimmed
- minced garlic
- olive oil
- kosher salt
- freshly ground pepper
How to make The Best Roasted Green Beans:
First, preheat your oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
Toss the green beans and minced garlic in olive oil and place them on the foil. Season with salt and pepper. Fold the foil up on the sides to create a “boat” for the green beans, leaving an opening to vent. (see image below)
Leave the foil pack on the baking sheet and place in the oven on the center rack. Bake at 450 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 – 40 minutes. If you would like them a bit more caramelized, you can leave them in oven for an extra 5 minutes. Remove from oven and carefully open foil pack, there will be steam. Stir and transfer to a serving dish. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed.
