This rosemary roasted radishes recipe has a mildly sweet flavor and makes a lovely spring side dish that is healthy, low-carb, and delicious!
Roasted Radishes
These roasted radishes with rosemary and garlic taste amazing! Roasting is the best way to cook radishes, in my opinion, since roasting radishes in the oven enhances their natural sweetness and mellows out the spicy, peppery bite. I love raw radishes, but if you are not a big fan of radishes, try roasting them. Yum!
Radishes are healthy, vibrant, and nutritious. This spring root vegetable is a wonderful, inexpensive addition to any diet. I eat them almost every day! Radishes are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, and they have anti-inflammatory, anti-antibacterial, and antifungal properties. Radishes are very low in calories and low in carbohydrates, making them a great low-carb alternative to Roasted Potatoes or Sweet Potatoes. This tasty vegetable can be incorporated into almost any meal. Have them for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or as a healthy snack!
Roasted radishes are versatile and make a wonderful side dish to accompany main courses, including chicken and seafood, or tossed into other dishes like salads or pasta. They are super yummy sprinkled with nuts, like crushed Roasted Pistachios or French Toasted Almonds, dipped in Hummus, or drizzled with Dijon Dressing, this amazing Basil Pesto, or this Pepita Chimichurri. These radishes are also a beautiful addition to a Mezze Platter.
However you choose to serve them, I hope you enjoy the Rosemary Roasted Radishes!

Roasted Radishes Recipe Ingredients
This rosemary roasted radishes recipe only requires a few ingredients that can easily be adjusted to your preferences.
- Radishes: I used red radishes in this recipe, however, there are a variety of radishes to choose from, including Cherry Belles, French Breakfast radishes, and Easter Egg radishes. Using Easter Egg radishes with this recipe is perfect for Easter Brunch!
- Avocado oil: Avocado oil is perfect for roasting since it has a high smoke point, but olive oil works as a substitute.
- Rosemary: Finely chopped fresh rosemary or dried crushed rosemary. I also like to sprinkle the radishes with chopped parsley.
- Garlic powder: Do not use garlic salt.
- Salt & Pepper: I used fine Himalayan pink salt and freshly ground pepper. You can use more or less, but I like to start with less and add more at the end if needed.
How to Roast Radishes in the Oven
Making roasted radishes is easy! To roast radishes in the oven with rosemary or other herbs, first, preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Clean and trim the radishes, then halve or quarter them, depending on their size. Note: You can easily double this recipe to make more.
Place the radishes in a mixing bowl, then toss with avocado oil to coat. Sprinkle with garlic, rosemary, salt, and pepper, then toss again to coat the radishes in the seasoning. Optional: Allow them to sit in the bowl for 10 – 15 minutes to “sweat out” some of their liquid.
Transfer the seasoned radishes, minus any excess liquid, to the lined baking sheet and spread them into a single layer. Place onto the center rack of your preheated oven and roast at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes. Stir, then roast for another 15 – 20 minutes or until cooked to your liking. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed, serve as desired, and enjoy!
