This tofu tzatziki recipe is dairy-free, smooth, creamy, delicious, and this easy vegan tzatziki sauce made with tofu is ready in 5 minutes!

Tofu tzatziki has the texture and flavor of authentic tzatziki made with Greek yogurt. This dairy-free tzatziki sauce is high in protein and has fewer calories and carbs than traditional tzatziki. Plus, this plant-based tzatziki made with tofu stores well and can be made ahead of time, making this easy vegan tzatziki perfect for parties, family get-togethers, potlucks, and summer barbecues.
Tzatziki is one of my favorite condiments, especially during the hot summer months, since it is refreshingly cool. It is versatile, quick, and easy to make, and complements so many things! It is wonderful served as a sauce, dip, or spread with bread, fresh or roasted veggies, falafel, sandwiches, lettuce wraps, tabbouleh, incorporated into a mezze platter, used as salad dressing, and more. I hope you enjoy!
Vegan Tzatziki Ingredients
Here are the vegan tzatziki recipe ingredients you will need…
- Tofu: Soft/Silken tofu, or you can also use firm tofu for a thicker consistency. Be sure to drain off all liquid.
- English Cucumber: English cucumbers are seedless with a thinner skin, making them the best option for tzatziki sauce. If you use a regular cucumber, you will need to peel and remove the seeds, then strain as much liquid as possible.
- Garlic: Fresh cloves of garlic.
- Lemon Juice: Fresh is always best, and you can adjust the amount to your liking.
- Fresh Dill: The fresher the better!
- Mint: This is optional. You can use dried or fresh mint.
- Olive Oil: Good quality EVOO.
- Salt and Pepper: Salt of choice and freshly ground pepper to taste.

How to Make Tofu Tzatziki
To make tofu tzatziki sauce, add the drained tofu, chopped cucumber, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, dill, mint, salt, and pepper to a food processor or blender. Secure the lid and pulse in short intervals until you reach your desired consistency. Do a taste test and adjust any ingredients if needed.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or until ready to use. This sauce is best after it has been refrigerated for a couple of hours, allowing the flavors to develop and meld together. The sauce will keep for about 2 to 3 days if refrigerated in an airtight container.
To serve, garnish with extra fresh dill and a drizzle of olive oil if desired, and enjoy!
