I love fresh strawberries, especially during the spring and summer months when strawberries are in season. This easy strawberry salad is a great way to use those beautiful berries, and it is packed with nutrients and lots of flavor. I have included my recipe for a quick and easy balsamic salad dressing. However, you can use whatever salad dressing you like. This Dijon Dressing, Honey Balsamic, and Mimosa Vinaigrette are great options as well, and it is nice to switch up the salad dressings for variety.
A strawberry spinach salad is great served for brunch, lunch, as an appetizer, or as a healthy side salad to accompany other dishes like pasta. For a nice brunch, try enjoying this fresh strawberry salad with a refreshing Strawberry Spritz! If you would like to make this a more filling dinner salad, toss in some extra protein, like falafel, edamame, chicken, or tofu, and serve it with some yummy bread. I hope you enjoy!

Strawberry Spinach Salad Ingredients
Here are the strawberry spinach salad ingredients you will need…
- Fresh Baby Spinach– I always use organic spinach. It truly does matter when it comes to this particular vegetable, especially when eating it uncooked.
- Fresh Strawberries – sliced. I prefer the taste of fresh organic strawberries!
- Goat Cheese – crumbled.
- Walnuts – chopped. You can use these Italian Herb Walnuts or toss in some Maple Glazed Pecans or French Toasted Almonds as an alternative or in addition to the walnuts. They add flavor and crunch!

Balsamic Vinaigrette Ingredients
- Balsamic vinegar
- Olive oil or Avocado oil
- minced garlic
- kosher salt
- freshly ground black pepper

How to Make Strawberry Salad with Balsamic
Making this strawberry salad is so simple! First, make a bed of spinach on your plate or in a bowl. Add the sliced strawberries, then sprinkle with the crumbled goat cheese and chopped Italian Herb Walnuts. You can also add Maple Glazed Pecans, Roasted Pistachios, or French Toasted Almonds if desired. Finally, drizzle the balsamic vinaigrette, or the dressing of your choice, over the salad.
Balsamic Vinaigrette
In a bowl, whisk the balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until the salt is dissolved. Whisk in the olive oil until well blended. Add 1 teaspoon of honey to the mix if desired. This recipe will yield about 2 servings of dressing. You can easily make a larger batch and refrigerate the extra dressing in an airtight container.
Drizzle or toss the salad with the balsamic vinaigrette. Serve and enjoy!
